100% Remote Option:
We are offering a 100% remote option for families whose sons cannot come back to school for various reasons. These boys will be participating via Zoom in the live lessons that are taking place in the classroom. As such, it will be mostly synchronous instruction. Our technology department has added new, HD cameras to every classroom.
It is important for families to know that while we will do our best to make the remote boys feel part of the classroom, we cannot recreate the full school experience at home. As of now, the majority of boys will be in the school building which creates a different dynamic than if all of the class is working remotely together. Parents may still need to assist the boys as they did in the spring term. The remote boys will be on Zoom much of the school day.
Parents must understand that, if their son is coming into school in-person, he is expected to attend every day that he is meant to. For health reasons, we cannot allow families to create bespoke schedules.
Families who select the all online option will be able to return to school in person beginning on any of our designated re-entry points.
- We originally stated that boys could only return in January and in April. We have added a third entry point at the end of October. Our re-entry dates are as follows: October 26, 2020, January 5, 2021, or April 6, 2021.
- We know many families are still undecided, but we appreciate your decision as soon as possible so we have an accurate headcount. Please contact your division heads.
- Boys who are attending school in person but have to learn remotely for a period of time due to illness or quarantine will be welcomed back to school as soon as they are cleared to do so; they will not need to wait until the official re-entry points. If a family leaves for personal reasons, their son may not be able to return until the designated re-entry points.
