Extra, extra! Read all about it! The students of St. Bernard’s have published the first issue of The Alligator, a newspaper written for students, by students.
In an age of digital news blips, it is refreshing to find printed news, complete with thorough investigations and research, within the walls of St. B’s. Ishan M., founder and chief editor of The Alligator, shared some insights in his editor’s note of volume 1, issue 1, to mark this momentous occasion.
Welcome to the first issue of The Alligator, our school's only student-run newspaper. The dream of a newspaper all started in the spring of 2017 when I realized that our school had so many publications but none student-run. Since then, I have been working with our writing team on our first issue, and we have eagerly awaited the day that the Gator becomes an official paper. Of course, publishing the newspaper couldn't have happened without the help of everybody who generously pitched in. So, I would like to introduce the Gator team.
