Varsity White Soccer Team Wins League Championship

 

As a team they played quick, smart soccer.  They incorporated the one, two, touch method, passing the ball swiftly around the field, and they worked well together as a team.  Many of the boys on this team have played soccer at St. Bernard’s since fifth grade, and their cohesiveness was apparent on the field.  The coaches helped the players approach the season one game at a time.  The boys were well prepared and brought their best to the field in every match.  The St. B’s Varsity White team exceled under pressure and knew that they always need to be on top of their game.

 

Coach Miceli describes the team as very supportive and skilled.  There are so many talented players that it didn’t matter which combination of players were on the field.  In practices the boys took things seriously.  When facing opponents, the boys treated each game as an opportunity to succeed.
