Cross Country Season
The St. Bernard’s cross country team had a great year.
The team competed in six interscholastic meets at Van Cortland Park. The average meet included 200 boys competing from fifteen to eighteen schools. During the season our team was led by Hugh M., Louis R., Lucas P., and Daniel B. At the championship meet held on November 1, 200 runners competed from eighteen schools, and twenty St. Bernard’s boys participated. Medals were awarded to the first fifty finishers. Ten St. Bernard’s runners earned medals, one-fifth of the total runners. This was a significant and fulfilling achievement for our team after working so hard since early September.
